The KIIS China Program, Summer 2011

The KIIS  China Program offers a unique opportunity for Americans to experience China’s ancient civilization, diverse culture and its progress toward market economy.

For the first two days, we will be in Shanghai to witness the economic booming of China.

We will then take a train ride to Changsha City to study for three weeks on the campus of Hunan Normal University. Changsha is the capital of Hunan Province with significance in ancient and modern Chinese history.


Excursions will be arranged to temples, museums, markets and places with cultural significance. Students will also participate in local campus activities and interact with Chinese students.

We will travel to Xi’an, the ancient capital of China, to view the magnificent terra cotta warriors and to visit museums and temples.




For the final days, we will be in Beijing touring the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.
